  • Preparing for the Emerald Ash Borer in Your Community

    Municipalities, public entitites, and industries are invited to learn to identify and mitigate the damage caused by the emerald ash borer.  Experts will explain the impact of emerald ash borer to community forests and governmental budgets, how to prepare for EAB before and once it is detected in your community and county, and your role and responsibility with this issue. The program will be held from 1-4:30pm (registration starting at 12:30) on June 7 2017, at the Troy Community Building (1225 Last Chance Rd, Troy KS 66087). Who should attend: Mayors and Council Representatives County Commissioners and Staff Arborists and Horticulturalists City Foresters and Park Managers Public Works Officials and Staff Landscape Architects Grounds Maintenance Staff Anyone interested in the health of community landscapes and plants Certification hours are available.   • Emerald Ash Borer in Doniphan County

    Homeowners, landowners, and the general public are invited to learn about the Emerald Ash Borer, its threat to local trees, and effects on what we can move and do in the county. Learn how to identify the insects, detect when they’re damaging a tree, and what to do about it. Homeowners, landowners, and concerned citizens are invited to attend this informational event.
